Halim Yoon

Welcome to my website!

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. My specializations are in social policy and public finance, particularly in relation to population aging and the well-being of older adults.

My current research agenda examines how social policies affect work and retirement decisions among older workers, and how these choices, in turn, influence health, economic well-being, and family caregiving outcomes. This connects to my broader interests in work and retirement policies, public pension program, aging and health, life-course research, and the demography of caregiving. 

I was born and raised in South Korea and received an MA in Social Welfare from Seoul National University and a BA in Social Welfare and Sociology from Seoul National University.
